busy busy Kenley.

Kenley has had such an eventful few days, not all of it was fun filled though. Last Thursday, she had her 4 month shots. She did amazing. I was nervous since Andrew had to work. At her two month shots, Andrew was able to be the bad guy and hold her arms down. And when she started crying it was like no cry I had heard before. So going alone this time was a bit upsetting. She weighed in at a big girl 18lbs and 10oz and is 25 3/4 inches long. She got 3 shots and a liquid vaccine and she did great. Cried for a second then I picked her up and she was all smiles. Way to go big baby!

The plan was to come home after the appointment and then log in to work and get some things done. When I got home there wasn't much happening at work so I decided to leave early and then log in once I got to my parents house around 3. The trip started off great, Kenley took a two hour nap. But then she woke up. And screamed. And screamed. And screamed. For the rest of the trip. Yes, I stopped and changed her and fed her. But she was not happy in the back by herself. It was a stressful 2 hours and of course the exit I needed to get off at on 95 was backed up because of an accident. Pretty sure there were tears from other people besides Kenley.

We got to my parents house and Kenley decided she was going to act like a big kid. My mom got her to laugh for the first time. I have gotten a few chuckles but never one right after another. Kenley laughing had me laughing/crying. Hilarious. I keep trying to get more laughs but I can only get one. Apparently, I am not funny. She also got to use her high chair for the first time! It has been in my old room since we bought it last Thanksgiving.

AND she sat in a shopping cart for the first time. She loved shopping with us in the cart.

On Friday, I worked from home all day but was able to take Kenley to Chantilly Academy to see all of her Academy friends. Last time she saw everyone was in June at the end of the school year. She showed everyone how much she loves to squeal.

Kenley helped Grandma Lucy move apartments this weekend too. Well, she napped and played on the floor while we sorted through boxes, closets, dressers, drawers.... you name it, it was full of stuff to look through.

We did find some really cool keepsakes. It was a long afternoon but it needed to get done.

On the way home, Dad called and said Betsy Lane was barricaded off by police cars and we could not get down the street. I am still not to sure what happened, something about serving a warrant to someone and there were hostages? Really? In Fairfax County? Erika was gracious enough to let us come over and give Kenley her bath. Luckily, Erika had given Kenley some new pajamie jams that morning so we got her all set for bed.

On our return trip to Virginia Beach, I left when we got back from her 4 month picture appointment at Portrait Innovations. She was really tired so I thought it would be a perfect time to leave. She ate a bit, closed her eyes and we packed up and left. She slept for a good 45 minutes, enough time to get on 95. Woke up, started screaming. I made sure she had a full tummy and clean diaper but she cried until we got to 64, which is an hour and a half later. By the time I got home, I was exhausted and drained. AND I had caught Kenley's cold Saturday morning and was still feeling yucky.

Kenley stayed home with me on Monday and Tuesday since I wasn't feeling well. I worked from home both days and enjoyed some more time with my baby. I wish I could spend every day with her at home. Too bad tax season is approaching....

Just a few more photos.

Tummy time!

She learned this from her baby school buddy "fat-daddy." He takes frequent rests during tummy time.

This was from this morning, she looked adorable in her sweatsuit. Perfect weather for all the hoodies I have been buying her.

Hope you enjoyed the pictures! :)

Is this baby TOO CUTE or what??? I love every minute I spend with her! Can't wait to see her over Columbus Day weekend...I will teach her about Christopher Columbus - he was a man. (Family joke...)
